Ann (Annie) B. Seely

SEELY, Ann (Annie) B. Age 88 of R.R. #2, Canton, PA, passed away, Tuesday, January 12, 1993 in Troy Community Hospital. She was a previous resident of R.D. #2, Drums, Luzerne County, PA. She was born January 3, 1905 in Loyalville, Luzerne County, PA. Her birth parents were William B. and Leola Ferguson Scovell. She was adopted by Charles E. and Jennie Armstrong Bronson. Ann was a 1923 graduate of Bloomsburg University. She retired 1967 as Cafeteria Manager at Penn State University, Hazelton Campus. She and her husband were very active as 4-H Leaders for many years in Luzerne County. Ann was a member of the Canton Ecumenical Parish and its Morning Circle. She was a member of the Village Improvement Association in Canton. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Ruth Webb of Deland, FL, Mrs. Alice Boock of R.R. #3, Drums, PA, Mrs. Jayne Pohl of Detroit, Mi and Mrs. Lois Markevich of R.R. #1, Drums, PA; two sons, Walter Seely of Baltimore, MD and Wayne Seely of R.R. #2, Canton, PA; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Arline Seely of Drums; 23 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, W. Leslie Seely on May 27, 1984 and two sons, Charles L. in November of 1984 and Harold H. on August 26, 1991. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 15, 1993 from the Canton Ecumenical Parish, 43 North Center St., Canton with the Rev. Ronald J. Beistline, her Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Laurel Cemetery, Luzerne County, PA. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 14th from 3:30 to 5:30 PM at the Morse & Kleese Funeral Home, 40 N. Center St., Canton, PA and from 9 to 10 AM, Friday at the Canton Ecumenical Parish, 43 N. Center St., Canton followed by Funeral Services at the Church at 10:00 AM. The Rev. Ronald Beistline, her Pastor, and Rev. Gerald Buck, her grandson, officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Laurel Memorial Cemetery, Hazel Township, Luzerne County, PA. Memorial donations may be directed to the Canton Ecumenical Parish in Annie’s memory.
