BUTLER – Alta Seely, 96, formerly of Orrville, Ohio, died Tuesday at 6:20 a.m. in the Meadow Haven Nursing Home.

Born Nov. 9, 1888 in Orrville, Mrs. Seely was the daughter of William and Mellie (Arnold) Swager. On Oct. 16, 1918, she married John A. Seeley, who preceded her in death April 7, 1930.

Mrs. Seely was a retired hospital housekeeper and a member of the Elm Street Church of Christ in Orrville.

She is survived by two daughters, G’Nell Abel of Auburn and Loren Swager of Willoughby, Ohio; one son, Kent Seely of Orrville; one brother, Glen Swager of Wooster, Ohio; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. One sister, Fern Wilson, preceded her in death.

Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. in the Dilgard, Cline & Southern Funeral Home, Auburn. The Rev. Clarence A. Bangs will officiate.

Friends may call in the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Newville.

AUBURN – Alta Seely, 96, formerly of Auburn, died at 6:20 Tuesday at Meadow Haven Nursing Home, Butler. Surviving are two sons, one daughter and five grandchildren. Services at 1 p.m. Friday at Dilgard, Cline & Southern Funeral Home, with calling there from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
