Albert Lee “Abb” Seely
SEELY Albert Lee “Abb” Seely, age 75, of Delaware, died Sunday, April 4, 2004 at his residence after an extended illness. Born September 16, 1928 in Columbus. He retired from Dennison Engineering after 35 years of service in the maintenance department. He loved to fish with his family on Lake Erie. He raised quarter-horses on the farm in his spare time and enjoyed playing baseball in his youth. Preceded in death by father Fred Seely, mother Leona (Stewart) Seely Vass, and son Doug Seely in 1980. Survived by wife, Betty L. (Nesser) Seely whom he married July 3, 1948 in Columbus; children, Mike (Lesa) Seely of Plain City, Patricia Seely of Columbus, Pamela (Lynn) Borden of Galena, Jack Seely of Springfield, Jill (Jack Havnen) Turner of Gahanna; daughter-in-law, Pam Seely of Columbus; grandchildren, Sean (Amy Bischof) Seely of Ft. Myers, FL, Jason Seely of Delaware, Chad Seely of Delaware, Jody Sells of Columbus, Nick Seely of Columbus, Josh Seely of Columbus; brothers, Richard N. (Debbie) Seely of Powell and John Richard Vass of Delaware; sisters, Nancy Vass of Texas. Funeral service 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 7, 2004, FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 202 E. Main Street (St. Rt. 161W), Plain City, where the family will receive friends 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. Burial Jerome Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hospice at Riverside/Grant, 3535 Olentangy River Rd. Columbus, Ohio 43214-3998
