Ablene Seely
Mrs. Ablene Seely, 77, 514 N. Fourth st, Greenfield, died at Greenfield Municipal Hospital at 7:15 a.m. Thursday.
Born July 7, 1897, in Vinton County, she was the daughter of George Davis and Emily Katherine Post.
She was a member of the Pentacostal Church of Christ in Greenfield and was the widow of Roscoe Seely. They were married July 27, 1911. Mr. Seely passed away Aug. 23, 1961.
She is survived by six sons, Ralph, Kettering; Carl, New Lebanon; Howard and Wayne, both of Toledo, and Richard and George, both of Greenfield; four daughters, Mrs. Helen Haas, Dayton, Mrs. Hazel Carr, New Martinsburg; Mrs. Mildred Knisley, Greenfield, and Mrs. Marlene Combs, Greenfield.
Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. James Friend, Millersport; a brother, Guy Davis, Chillicothe; three half-brothers, Roy, Ray and Casel Clary, all of Columbus; 27 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Anderson – Strueve Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. roscoe Jones and Rev. George Duke. Burial will follow in Greenfield Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday.

We wish to express our thanks to the Doctors and Nurses at West Union Hospital and Greenfield Hospital for the care and kindness they gave our mother before her death.
