Ceremony Takes Place This Afternoon at Home of Bride’s Parents

TO LIVE IN PINE ISLAND

Miss Katherine E. Wern, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Wern of Commonwealth Avenue was united in marriage with Walter Sayre Seely of Pine Island this afternoon at 3 o’clock at the home of the bride’s parents.

The bride was dressed in which georgette and wore a veil with orange blossoms.  She carried a bouquet of bridal roses.  The bridesmaid was attired in orchid georgette and carried a bouquet of sweet peas.  The bride’s sister, Miss Florence Wern, acted as bridesmaid.  The best man was Clifford G. Tother of Troy. The wedding ceremony was performed beneath a bridal arch by the Rev. G.A. Fechmer.

A gift of the groom to the bride was a pearl necklace.  The gift of the bride to the groom was a platinum Shiners’ pin set with diamonds.  The bride presented the bridesmaid with a pink sapphire ring.  Her gifts to the waitresses, who were former associates were gold friendship pins.  The groom presented the best man with a set of gold cuff buttons.

A wedding supper was served and immediately after, the young couple left for their honeymoon trip to Syracuse.  On their return, they will make their home in Pine Island where the groom is located in business.
