Miss Jane Ann Cheek Weds Vernon Seeley

OSAGE – Miss Jane Ann Cheek, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Cheek became the bride of Vernon Carl Seeley, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Seeley, all of Osage, on Oct. 31.

The couple was united in the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Osage with Pastor Jack Babcock of Gillette officiating at the double ring ceremony.  Miss Linda Yeager, pianist, accompanied Mrs. Jack Babcock and daughter, Debbie as they sang a duet.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an A-line floor length gown of white peau de soie.  The empire bodice featured a Peter Pan collar with fabric covered buttons down the front and Juiet sleeves.  A bolero of white matelasse trimmed with rows of pearls topped the bodice.  The bride’s fingertip veil of illusion was held in place by a floral coronet accented with seed pearls and she carried a bouquet of bronze feathered chrysanthemums.

Mrs. Wayne Shaw of Devil’s Tower was matron of honor.  She wore a floor length gown of avocado green antique satin featuring an empire waistline, cap sleeves and A-line skirt, trimmed with matching lace at the waistline, neckline and sleeves.  Her flower was a bronze chrysanthemum.

Lenard Seeley served his brother as best man, and ushers were John Lucero of Edgar, Neb. and Rodney Cheek, brother of the bride.

Friends who assisted at the reception included Mrs. Roy Julius, Mrs. Jack Babcock, Miss Marie Kipp, Miss Sharleen Julius, Mrs. John Lucero and Mrs. Lawrence Samuelson.

The bride attended Newcastle High School, Casper College and graduated from the University of Wyoming with a B.S. degree in business education.  She is a member of Phi Gamma Nu profession business sorority.

The bridegroom attended Newcastle High School and the University of Wyoming and is serving with the U.S. Coast Guard.

The couple is now at home in Florence, Ore. where he is stationed.
