No Great Surprise
The culmination of a Los Angeles romance was announced in a dispatch to The Times from Chicago last night, stating briefly that Rolland P. Seeley, aged 21 years, and Lelia A. Coulter, 19, both of this city, had been licensed to marry.
The girl is the daughter of F.M. Coulter of the Coulter Dry Goods Company, who resides at No. 639 Vermont avenue, and the young man is the son of Mrs. Leah H. Seeley, No. 1315 South Figueroa street.
At the Coulter home last night a maid stated that Mrs. Coulter is in Chicago, and Coulter was out for the evening. It was learned from a friend of Mrs. Seeley, that she and her son have been visiting in Ft. Madison, Iowa, and other points in the Middle West for some time, and that a strong attachment was known to have existed between the young persons for many months, so the announcement from Chicago will not surprise their friends to a great extent.

Miss Lelia Coulter, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F.M. Coulter of this city, was married in Chicago at twilight Tuesday evening to Rolland Seeley, son of Mrs. Leah J. Seeley of No. 1515 South Figueroa street.
The news of the marriage, announced exclusively in The Times yesterday, caused members of the younger set no little surprise, as Miss Coulter, who is better known as “Brownie,” only returned from school a scant twelve months ago and has not yet enjoyed her first formal season.
Nevertheless the charming young bride will be showered with congratulations, and on her return will be royally feted. She is a sister of Mrs. John V.G. Posey. The bride’s mother was with her daughter in the East at the time of the wedding.
