The wedding of Miss Lorraine I. Seeley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Worth D. Seeley of Saunders Street, East Hartford, to Mr. Herman R. Laferriere of East Hartford, son of Mr. and Mrs. Adelard Laferriere of Eagle Lake, Me., took place August 12 at St. Mary’s Church, East Hartford at 9 a.m.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of Venetian type lace made with a French illusion neckline with seed pearl trim, a basque bodice and a bouffant skirt with a long train.   A seed pearl tiara held her fingertip veil of illusion in place, and she carried white roses combined with baby’s breath and stephanotis.

Miss Agnes Cadder of East Hartford was maid of honor for the bride and bridesmaids were Mrs. Marie Donnelli and Miss Jean Yaconnello, both of East Hartford.  Mr. Laferriere’s best man was Mr. John Bannon of Hartford, and Mr. Brian McPartland of Manchester and Mr. Fred Seeley, brother of the bride, ushered.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Odd Fellows Hall in East Hartford.  Upon their return from a wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. Laferriere will make their home at 60 Saunders Street, East Hartford.

Mrs. Lafarriere is a graduate of East Hartford High School.
