Susie Townsend Dies At Age 84; Born In Seeley Susie F. Townsend, 84, a resident of 151 Lincoln way, died Sunday afternoon at Bridgeton Hospital where she had been a patient two weeks . Mrs. Townsend was born in Seeley, the daughter of William and Emily Fox Seeley, and was the wife of Thomas T. Townsend who passed away in 1941. Surviving are a son, Thomas T. Townsend, Oakland, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Hilda T. Konschak, Millville, Mrs. Roy E. Schumacher, Bridgeton, and Mrs. Dave R. Sutch, Pleasant Hill, Calif.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild, and a brother, William Seeley, Yucaipa, Calif. Mrs. Townsend had been a member of the First Baptist Church over 50 years and a former pastor, the Rev. Raymond Cornish, will conduct the funeral services on Wednesday at 11 a.m. from the Garrison Funeral Home, 43 Fayette street. Interment will be at Fernwood Memorial Park. Friends may call Wednesday morning from 10 to 11 prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society. Published in unknown newspaper |
