Ida M. Holubosky

Ida M. Holubosky, formerly of Kennedy Boulevard, Taylor, died Tuesday in Mountain View Care Center following an illness.  She was the widow of Bayard Hughes who died in 1954, and Joseph Holubosky who died in 1975.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Benjamin J. and Margaret Jenkins Seeley, she attended Scranton Technical High School.  She was a volunteer for Telespond and was a social member of the Ukrainian Progressive Club.

Surviving are two sons, William Hughes, Plains, and Alfred “Butch” Hughes, Binghamton, N.Y.; two daughters, Peggy Topa and Karen Yerke, both of Taylor; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Benjamin and Robert.

The funeral will be Friday at 10 a.m. in the Davies and Jones Funeral Chapel, 135 S. Main Ave., with services by the Rev. Chris Wynn, pastor, Trinity Congregational United Church of Christ.  Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.

Friends may call Thursday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
