Helen M. Thompson

Helen M. Thompson, 61, of 125 ½ W. Third St., Greenville, died Tuesday at 6 p.m. at her residence.  She had suffered from an illness for two years.

Mrs. Thompson was born Nov. 16, 1922 in Greenville, the daughter of the late John M. and Mae (Ramsey) Seeley.

She was a lifelong resident of Greenville, formerly employed as an assembler at Hobart Manufacturing, Greenville and Fram Corporation, Greenville.

She was a member of the Greenville Missionary Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Greenville Eagles.

She is survived by her husband Jack, who she married Nov. 14, 1970; a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Patty) Didier, Union City, Ind.; one son Richard Shurte, Greenville; three grandchildren and one brother, Rev. John Seeley Jr. Greenville.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Floyd Shurte, who died April 12, 1970.

Services will be held at the Miller Funeral Home, 2 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Gary Oser officiating.  Burial wqill follow in the Gettysburg Cemetery.

Visitation hours will be from 3-5 and 7-9 Friday at the Miller Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Darke County Cancer Society.  The Eagles Auxiliary Lodge of Sorrow services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
