STEWART, DORA KATHLEEN (SEELY) The death of Dora Katheen (Seely) Stewart, Fredericton, NB occurred October 28th, 2009 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital after a brief illness. She was ninety years of age. Born in Somerville, Carleton County NB, Dora was the daughter of the late C. Frederick and Beatrice G. (Smith) Seely. She was a retired teacher who started her career in Carleton County schools and later taught for sixteen years in Fredericton schools ending her twenty six year teaching career as Librarian at Fredericton High School. Predeceased by her husband Murray, left to cherish her memory is her loving family: daughters, Sherrille (Ellis) Webber of Fredericton, Susan (John) Wood of Calgary; five beloved grandchildren, Mark (Shannon) Duplisea of Mason, Ohio, Heather Bruce of Dartmouth NS, Leigh-Ann (John) Scott of Belleville ON, John Steven (Laura) Wood of Vernon, BC and William (Michelle) Wood of Calgary, ten great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law Elta Seely of Saint John and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Lloyd G. and L. Byron Seely and her sisters Helen (Jerry) Newman and Gladys (Harry) Hubbard. She will be remembered with fondness by many students, colleagues, friends, neighbors and especially by all her extended family members with whom she kept in close contact. Visitation will take place at McAdam’s Select Community Funeral Home 160 York Street, Fredericton on Friday, October 30th, 2009 from 7 to 9 pm. Following interment in the Forest Hill Cemetery, Fredericton, a memorial service will be held at the J. A, McAdam Memorial Chapel on Saturday, October 31st, 2009 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Bob Jones will officiate.
