Born in Lansingburgh, N. Y., April 30, 1803 ; united with the Ch. in Lansingburgh at about 18 years of age; studied at Academy in Lansingburgh; married to Miss Mary Taylor, of Lansingburgh ; died at Geneva, N. Y., Jan. 1, 1855. His wife died Sept., 1856 ; no children.

Relinquished preparation for the Ministry on account of failing eyesight; merchant in Burlington, Vt., till 1828; merchant in Geneva from 1828.
