SEELEY, Shirley M. of Chesaning, MI passed away on Friday morning, May 27, 2011 at Home. Age 81 years. She was born on July 6, 1929 to the late Armic and Ella (Ehlow) Canda. She married Melvin Seeley on June 21, 1952, he preceded her in death on July 25, 2005. Surviving are her 7 Children, 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, one sister, and a sister-in-law. She was preceded in death by her husband, a granddaughter (Lori), one sister and two brothers and her parents. In following Shirley’s wishes cremation has taken place. Passed away on Friday morning, May 27, 2011 at home. Age 81 years.

She was born on July 6, 1929 to the late Armic and Ella (Ehlow) Canda. She married Melvin Seeley on June 21, 1952, he preceded her in death on July 25, 2005. Shirley attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. She was a Cub Scout leader and was always volunteering her time to help people. She had over 1500 hours of community service delivering meals on wheels, taking people to appointments and various other services. She especially enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her family.

Surviving are her children, Bruce (Linda) Seeley of Flint; Gail (Michael) Wagoner of Chesaning; Christy Oliver of Holland; Keith Seeley of Bay City; Richard Seeley of Idaho; Theresa Seeley of India and Denise (Mike) Navarre of West Virginia; 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; one sister, Lois Schultz and a sister-in-law, Marion Hileman, her special friend, Mike Eastwood. She was preceded in death by her husband, a granddaughter, Lori, one sister and two brothers and parents.

In following Shirley’s wishes cremation has taken place.

A memorial liturgy will be held on Saturday June 11. 2011 at 11:00 am from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Chesaning. Fr. Richard Bokinskie will officiate. Memorials are suggested to the family.
