Anna Elizabeth Pearson (Anne) Lugg

October 28, 1929 – May 4, 2020

Anna (Anne) Elizabeth Pearson Lugg, age 90 entered into rest on May 4, 2020 in Hillsborough, NJ, after a short and ferocious battle with COVID-19. She was born October 28, 1929 at Academy Corners, Pa. the daughter of William S. and Dorothy Seeley Pearson. She was a posthumous child as William S. Pearson died August 15, 1929.

Anne married Robert Sherer Lugg on January 6, 1952 in the First Baptist Church of Knoxville. He predeceased her on August 7, 2001. Her son A. William Lugg also predeceased her on November 27, 2013.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Knoxville, a member of the Wellsboro Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR), and a past Worthy Matron of Knoxville chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, former director, and past president of the Friends of the Knoxville Public Library, a member of the Advisory Committee for the Northern Penn Children’s Home for many years, a life member of the Seeley Genealogy Society, and a life member of the Tioga Historical society. Being an avid family history researcher, she held membership in genealogy societies too numerous to mention.

She is survived by two sons; David Knox Lugg and Dr. Marion Ceruzzi, of Manitou Springs, CO, and Dr. Robert Andrew of Brookville and Knoxville, PA and; a daughter, Dr. Catherine Anne Lugg and Mary D. Aun of Belle Mead, NJ; grandchildren, Benjamin Frederick Lugg, Hayley Anne Lugg, and Hugh Anthony Lugg, Robert Timmerman Lugg and Edward Andrew Lugg, and a beloved cousin, Eugene A. Seelye, Wellsboro PA., and many other Seeley/ Seelye cousins

There will be no calling hours. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Knoxville.

Memorials can be made to the Knoxville Public Library, the Tioga County Historical Society, or to the Presidential Campaign of Joseph Biden (joebiden.com). All are gratefully appreciated.
